SemiLEDs, Cree End Patent Cases
LED makers SemiLEDs Corp. of Hsinchu and Cree Inc. of Durham announced that they have dropped their patent infringement cases against each other.
SemiLEDs has agreed to pay Cree for past damages and to an injunction to stop the importation and sale of its accused products in the US, effective Oct. 1.
Both companies will now focus on developing new LED products.
