The Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition and the National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (OFC/NFOEC) is the premier international event for both the science and business of optical communications and networking. It features more than 90 short courses, over 500 exhibitors and 750 technical papers covering technologies and applications in green networks, spatial multiplexing, coherent detection for high spectral efficiency, data center and wireline-wireless networking, and 100G and beyond.

OFC/NFOEC’s exhibition is the place to be to get the latest products and information from more than 500 exhibitors on FTTx, networks, test and measurement, optical grids, optical packets, ROADMs, coherent systems and WDM-PON.
The event also include a plenary session, 14 one-hour tutorial speakers reviewing progress on important research in the field, workshops and panels, a rump session titled, “Is Space Division Multiplexing an Industry-Transforming Technology or a Research Curiosity?,” moderated by Pat Iannone of AT&T Labs-Research, Optical Systems Research Dept., and two special symposia: Enabling Technologies for Fiber Capacities Beyond 100 Terabits/second, and Plasmonics for Optical Interconnects.
