Pollard Named President of Ocean Optics
- Richard Pollard is the new president of Ocean Optics. He replaces Kevin Chittim, who was appointed to the company’s board and named divisional acquisition executive for its parent company, Halma plc.
Previously, Pollard was affiliated with Radcom Technologies Ltd. of Hampshire, England, also part of the Halma group. He joined Ocean Optics in 2006 as vice president of operations and was promoted to chief operating officer in 2008. He has experience in the electronics, automotive and medical products industries.
Before Chittim’s tenure at Ocean Optics, he served as CEO of Labsphere, another Halma company. He has also held executive roles at Radiant Imaging, Melles Griot, Newport and Spectra-Physics.
Ocean Optics supplies products for optical sensing applications.
