The SCG 250 provides an ideal platform for freeform, aspherical, and spherical grinding. The unique mechanical design and axis configuration combined with innovative kinematics allow for both cup and peripheral wheel grinding in a single process cycle. Results are superb form accuracy and minimized surface roughness.
In-process metrology ensures repeatable, accurate results with minimal part to part variation. Advanced control systems adjust for tool wear resulting in higher process stability. For higher volume production, optional part automation allows for the continuous loading and unloading of parts into the machine.
