7/5/2012 - To strengthen its US market presence and establish a base for future growth, Trioptics GmbH has acquired Wells Research Inc. of Lincoln, Mass.

Wells Research will continue to operate as a stand-alone company but will work closely with the German optical test equipment manufacturer. In addition, its product portfolio will now be distributed by Trioptics subsidiaries and partners in Europe and Asia.

The two organizations soon will begin development for application-oriented optical test equipment.

Ben Wells, the US company’s founder and president, will continue in his position to ensure a smooth transition between the two companies and its customers.
