At the foundation of our fiber splicing tools is filament fusion technology, a proprietary method that uses a filament “furnace” assembly to apply stable, high-temperature heat to a stripped fiber. This technique provides the precise control of glass processing conditions critical for creating high-strength, low-loss splices, tapers and other fused-fiber components. Our filament fusion products also feature a unique fiber polishing process that further enhances splice strength. These technologies, along with superior position control and advanced image processing capabilities, provide users with process control unattainable with other fusion splicing methods.
