The Wavelength Electronics LAB Series instruments provide low noise, high stability, full power benchtop control of QCLs, laser diodes and thermoelectrics. These instruments couple an intuitive touchscreen display with high precision, ultrastable drive electronics equipped with maximum safety features. Electronic noise from QCL drivers has long limited the detection threshold of chemical sensors. No longer. With 0.4 µA RMS noise current and 1nA / √Hz average current noise density up to 100kHz, the QCL500 LAB instrument allows the lowest possible detection thresholds. Low electronic noise translates into stable center wavelength, narrow linewidth, and repeatable scans. Models are available with output currents of 500 mA, 1000 mA, 1500 mA, and 2000 mA in Constant Current mode. Compliance voltage is adjustable up to 20 V with 2-3 MHz analog modulation bandwidth. Operate standalone or via USB or Ethernet (remote operation software included).

The TC LAB Series instruments are ideal anywhere thermoelectrics are used to achieve precision temperature control. For applications that need to measure the temperature of a liquid, the TC LAB instrument supports a remote IR sensor. ±5A and ±10A models are available with 15V compliance, 0.0001°C setpoint accuracy, 0.01% monitor accuracy, and stability of 0.0009°C with 10kΩ thermistor at 100µA sense current.
Additional features include: PID control, Autotune, an Autoscan function, auto-ranging bias current with “bumpless” operation, and extra safety features. These features include password protection, current limits, temperature limits, setpoint limits, DAQ failsafe, and a direct tie-in to a laser driver to shut it down if the temperature increases to a potentially damaging level.
