1/1/2012 - Lumen Dynamics Group Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, has sold its Burleigh line to Thorlabs Inc. of Newton, N.J. The line includes piezoelectric micromanipulators and microscope mounting systems for life sciences research. Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed. The sale will enable Lumen Dynamics to focus on its light-based solutions for the cellular imaging, medical and optoelectronics assembly, and for UV printing industries, President and CEO Allan Firhoj said. The sale also will allow strategic development of the Burleigh line.
