Integrated Optics is a manufacturer of very compact laser sources and power electronics. Unique semi-automated assembly method, compact and efficient electronics and know-how opens up new possibilities in photonics' product prototyping and manufacturing. Company produces most compact CW and nanosecond laser sources as proprietary manufacturing technology allows tight integration of optics and electronics into single-box products. High-level optoelectronics integration leads to significant drop in cost even for sophisticated laser designs.
The company was established in 2012 and now prosecutes 3 core patent applications, which protect key technologies, developed by the company's engineers. 1 patent is dedicated to sum (difference) - frequency generation, 1 to actively mode-locked lasers and 1 to surface enhanced Raman scattering substrates (otherwise - SERS substrates).
Since its establishment, Integrated Optics was developing a series of ultra-compact lasers called MatchBox and launched the product onto the market in 2013. In October 2015, the company has developed an upgraded platform MatchBox 2. The MatchBox 2 series of lasers consists of direct diode and DPSS lasers covering over 25 different wavelengths. These continuous wave lasers feature ultra-compact All-in-One design which means that the laser head includes optical components and driving electronics within a single enclosure. Also, MatchBox 2 series lasers feature superior power stability, fiber coupling options, thermally stabilized optics, monolithic design, automatic power control and also are hermetically sealed. Diode lasers could be powered directly from a USB port. Most of the diode and DPSS lasers have narrow-spectrum versions, including a single longitudinal mode option. Single-mode and PM fiber coupled versions are as well available as standard products.
The MatchBox 2 series of high-performance compact lasers are designed for demanding industrial and scientific applications – the lasers are used in numerous life science applications, such as Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence imaging, food sorting as well as diagnostics.
