MAINZ, Germany, Aug. 19, 2009 – Dilas has launched its high-power vertical diode laser stacked arrays at 915-, 940- and 980-nm wavelengths with 150-W output power, continuous-wave, per bar.

They are designed specifically for use in diode-pumped solid-state lasers, materials processing, defense and medical applications requiring kilowatts of continuous-wave laser power in a compact, easy to integrate package.

DILAS_150W.jpgThe water-cooled vertical stacks are available in up to 30 stacked bars with collimation for fast- and slow-axis configurations. Enduring tough tolerances, the advanced housings and high-precision optical mounting afford the user full control and allow all beamlets to be parallel within ±3 mrad.

Based on AuSn technology, they feature a spectral width of <6 nm full width half maximum, slope efficiency per bar of >1.08 W/A, a wavelength temperature coefficient of ~0.31 nm/°C, power conversion efficiency of >60% and an operating temperature range of 20 to 30 °C. Operating current is <160 A, and operating voltage per bar is <1.8 V.

The standard design is an open stack with models that include a dust protective or a hermetically sealed housing. Various models are offered, with custom solutions upon request. In addition, the standard configuration can be customized to fit specific requirements for interfaces, beam propagation and mechanical dimensions.
