LASER COMPONENTS USA offers custom-coated laser optics in the 2 μm wavelength range with high damage thresholds for high-power Ho:YAG and Tm:YAG lasers. These lasers allow precise cutting with minimal thermal damage in soft-tissue laser surgery, due to the high-water absorption at this wavelength.
