- Custom Nanopositioning Systems
Mad City Labs has proven expertise in designing and producing custom nanopositioning systems for integration into a wide variety of technical products. In-house design physicists with extensive technical instrumentation experience combined with in-house manufacturing and assembly allow Mad City Labs to go from concept to first prototype in approximately 40 days. Our scientists have extensive experience in ultra-high vacuum (UHV) instrumentation, optical spectroscopy, life sciences, and nanotechnology and provide the practical advice and assistance to move a project from concept to reality. Our nanopositioning systems feature our exclusive PicoQ®
sensors offer outstanding position performance: femtometer/√Hz noise floors, picometer positioning resolution and are inherently linear. PicoQ®
sensors are immune to cable length, unlike capacitive sensors, and are UHV compatible. Low noise Nano-Drive®
controllers complete the nanopositioning system and produce optimum performance from our nanopositioners. The controller includes PicoQ®
sensor electronics, proportional integral feedback control, and 165V amplifiers. The Nano-Drive®
has a wide range of options such as USB digital interfaces, synchronization interface, and compatibility with a range of third party software. An OEM configuration of the controller is available.
Custom firmware and dll’s can be developed by Mad City Labs’ software group, speeding up final product development.
