Blue and Green Interference Bandpass FiltersMidwest Optical Systems Inc. has announced the Bi450 Blue Interference and Bi520 Light Green Interference Bandpass Filters.

The Bi450 Blue Interference Bandpass Filters are recommended for use with 450-nm blue diode lasers and LED lighting. When precise illumination control is needed or similar blue wavelengths are also being simultaneously imaged with other cameras, the filters effectively block out almost all interference from other blue light sources, as well as all other visible and NIR wavelengths. The devices are also ideal for use in vegetative health monitoring applications where separate blue plus NIR imaging sensors and cameras are used.

The Bi520 Green Interference Bandpass Filters are used in applications employing 520-nm green laser diodes, such as bioanalytical areas, or green 520/525-nm LED light sources in machine vision inspection. Well-used fluorophores have emission maximas at or very near 520 nm, and the Bi520 filters can be used to effectively block excitation sources and interfering longer and shorter wavelength light while letting this light pass through to the camera’s sensor.
