The model 90 OEM solid dye laser from Elk Industries consists of a laser material (solid or liquid dye), a high reflector, an output coupler, optic mounts, a rigid mounting base and an optional focusing optic (lens or mirror). An intra- or extracavity diffraction grating can be utilized when wavelength selection needs are critical. The company says that the devices typically have factors of 25 to 35% efficiency, thresholds of less than 5 mJ/mm² and high gain coefficients.
