SANTA PAULA, Calif., June 3, 2009 – Abrisa Inc. announced the LuxVu heated optical windows for cameras and displays that operate in rugged, wet or cold outdoor environments. The product is designed to keep the optical glass free from moisture and fog, and the heated windows also aid in de-icing in extreme weather conditions.
The heated front glass window provides a transparent conductive coating that may be combined with a variety of custom display enhancements and coatings. For example, antireflection coatings help protect the display while providing higher performance and improved transmission. The company also offers additional glass fabrication and optical coating services that can be added to the heated optical windows to provide customized solutions, including screen printing, busbar, epoxy, glass strengthening, etching and special masking.
The heated optical windows are suitable for use in ruggedized outdoor displays, in imaging and sensing devices in the field such as traffic cameras, ground security cameras, unmanned aerial vehicle cameras, and optical instrumentation panels on air and ground vehicles.
