OSA High Brightness Sources and Light Driven Interactions 2016

Presentations in the area of mid-IR sources will cover compact semiconductor lasers (Quantum Cascade, Interband Cascade), solid-state and fiber lasers, high-intensity mid-IR sources for high-harmonic generation and attosecond physics, broadband mid-IR continuum sources, and mid-IR nonlinear optical frequency conversion technologies. Uses of these sources ranging from the X-ray to mid-IR for sensing, material processing, and biomedical applications and their success in transiting into industrial and scientific instrumentations applications will be discussed.
