A miniature perfusion system for exchanging or
applying test solutions to microscopic samples during imaging or recording has been
released by Bioscience Tools. It features digital, analog and serial ports that
are compatible with a variety of software-controlled setups, making it a tool for
programming precisely timed experimental protocols. It can handle routine protocols,
such as sample staining, without the need to remove the samples from the microscope.
Available in 2- to 16-channel units and equipped with a 16-channel controller, it
can be configured to control up to 320 channels through a single RS-232 or USB port.
It works with temperature-controlled systems and produces no electrical noise during
switching.
