Advanced Optical Technology Ltd. offers special versions of its ACE solid-state short-pulse electro-optical Q-switched Nd:YVO4 lasers operating beyond 100 kHz, the maximum of the standard range. ACE products use proprietary technology to allow the efficient generation of high-beam-quality pulses in the ~500-ps to few-nanosecond range. The current models find use in a wide range of industrial, commercial and scientific research and development applications, from high-precision micromachining through aerial mapping to bio-chemistry. Active Q-switching allows the user to accurately synchronize the short TEM00 laser pulses to external events.
