Edmund Optics’ high-energy UV fused silica polarizing cube beamsplitters offer an extinction ratio >3000:1, providing an alternative to Brewster windows.

Their typical damage threshold is 15 J/cm2 at 1064 nm, 10 ns, 20 Hz. They are constructed by optically contacting, rather than cementing, UV fused silica right-angle prisms. They are available in a 12.7-mm3 size for use with a variety of common Nd:YAG laser wavelengths, including 355, 532 and 1064 nm.

The devices feature >99.5% reflection of S-polarized light and >97% transmission of P-polarized light at the design wavelength. They offer λ/8 surface accuracy for minimal wavefront distortion.
