Two new portable laser coordinate measuring machines from Hexagon Metrology offer interferometer-based inspection.

The Leica Absolute Tracker AT960 offers high-speed dynamics and six degrees of freedom (6DoF) capabilities. A built-in interferometer enables accurate high-speed measurements to a moving target. The device also automatically re-establishes interrupted beams without user intervention.

An orient-to-gravity function enables leveling and alignment tasks such as build and inspect of tool and jig fixturing. The device has a measurement volume of up to 120 m.

Meanwhile, the Leica Absolute Tracker AT930 has all the features of the AT960 without the 6DoF compatibility.

Both devices are meant to replace the AT901 and T-Cam products, and are intended for use with reflectors or the Leica T-Probe, T-Scan or T-Mac.
