The series 99 photodetector modules from Martin, Froeschner & Associates are designed to capture fast transient light signals. The compact, rugged devices are powered by an internal battery or by a rechargeable gel cell and can be connected directly to a scope's front-panel input jack. The internal multistage AC-coupled transimpedance amplifiers provide conversion gains as high as 15,000 V/W.
