Lambda Research Corp. says that TracePro 2.0 3-D solid modeling software ray traces 10 times faster than its previous version. Other additions in 2.0 include a wizard to convert raw bidirectional scatter distribution function data into TracePro format, more than 3000 catalog lenses, a new bulb catalog, STL import capability, expanded material catalogs and an optional healing husk to fix imperfect geometry. The software is suitable for analyzing and designing display, lighting, stray light, illumination and fiber systems.
