Piezosystem jena has developed the Fapos 2/2 positioning system for fiber optic alignment. It comprises a manually operated three-axis position stage and a piezostage with subnanometer resolution for fast, precise fiber coupling and adjustment of a laser beam into fibers of different types. The integrated stages provide motion up to 100 µm and <1-nm resolution. Accessories for Fapos, which measures 100 x 76 x 55 mm, include a fiber holder and a fiber rotator.
