Velmex BiSlideBiSlide stages from Velmex Inc. feature a modular design that allows users to create multi-axis positioning systems for optical, medical, industrial, scientific inspection and scanning applications.

Constructed with hard-coat anodized aluminum dovetail ways and smooth-motion PTFE bearings, the assemblies have a load capacity of 300 lb (136 kg) horizontally and 100 lb (45.4 kg) vertically. Straight-line accuracy is 0.003 in. (0.076 mm) over the entire travel distance. Repeatability is 0.0002 in. (0.005 mm).

Four lead-screw pitches provide a range of resolutions and speeds, and a 4.6 × 3.1-in. mounting surface allows for carrying a variety of payloads.

StabiNut technology delivers a solid, low-friction connection between the lead screw and carriage, as well as an anti-backlash design with a fine mesh adjustment for responsive rotary to linear translation.

The assemblies are available in manual or motor-driven models with knob/crank, free motion, side-knob, tandem, parallel-coupled and belt-driven configurations. The belt drive can traverse longer distances up to 228-in. (5.8 m), while the tandem and parallel versions can carry larger payloads.
