Z-Laser Optoelektronik GmbH has introduced the Drill Pro ZBL, a line laser module that marks positions for drilling. Two red diodes are placed in a cast housing, the beams are widened to lines, and the lasers are aligned centrally to the drill axis. The thin crossing laser lines mark the position where the drill bit hits the material, with millimeter accuracy and without regard for the thickness of the workpiece or the height at which the drill bit is placed. The device is positioned around the spindle sleeve, and two housing types are available. Power is supplied by a 1.5-V battery.
