Vision & Control GmbH has added the RK1220 series to its Vicolux line of ringlights used in such machine-vision applications as positional and rotational orientation recognition and part identification. Available in red, green, blue, infrared and white, the illumination sources are about 40 mm in diameter, which makes them suitable for use in tight spaces. The lights, which operate between N10 and 40 °C, consume 2 W and either 170 mA at 12 V or 85 mA at 24 V. They are available with highly directed or widely radiating LEDs and with electrically controlled or fixed brightness.
