NuSil Technology LLC has added an optically clear, injection-moldable, silicone elastomer to its Lightspan product line. The LSR-9562-30 two-part high-viscosity elastomer has a refractive index of 1.5 and is supplied in packaging that ranges from 50-ml kits to drum kits. Applications include injection molding of clear silicone parts, potting and encapsulating. The material is designed to protect electronic components and assemblies against shock, vibration, moisture, dust and chemicals.
