CarlZeissAG.jpgCarl Zeiss AG has released a high-speed wide-angle lens for use in analog and digital 35-mm single-lens reflex cameras. The Distagon T* 2/28 has an aperture of 1:2.0 and a 28-mm focal length and is equipped with manual focus, a metal casing and floating elements. Available as the ZF model for cameras with the F bayonet and as the ZK for those with a K-mount, the lens has a focusing range from 0.24 m to infinity, an image ratio at close range of 1:5 and coverage at close range of 18 × 12 cm. The lens is suitable for landscapes, architectural photography and short-range portraits and for use in unfavorable lighting conditions. It weighs 530 g, has a diameter of 65 mm and is 94 mm long.
