Lambda Research Corp. has announced a new version of its optical design software.
OSLO (Optics Software for Layout and Optimization) v6.6.4 contains significant updates and enhancements meant to improve the user experience, including Windows 8.1 support, ghost analysis improvements and a glass catalogue from Ohara Corp. of Santa Margarita, Calif.
The software is used to design lenses, as well as to simulate and analyze the performance of optical systems by combining advanced ray tracing, analysis and optimization methods with a compiled macro language.
