Carrida Cam, a stand-alone automatic license plate reader/automatic number plate reader (ALPR/ANPR) camera system from Vision Components GmbH is an 88 &mult; 58 &mult; 36-mm smart camera based on an ARM Cortex-A9 dual core processor with Linux OS, combining the features of the Carrida Software Engine and the VC Pro Z smart camera series.
The camera integrates a heating system that prevents the formation of condensation on the inside of the front screen. The system is equipped with four inputs and four outputs, one trigger input and one flash trigger output, and features Ethernet and serial interfaces. An optional auto-focus module is available.
The system is suited for all outdoor applications including access control, red light enforcement and toll collection, and can be powered via photovoltaic cells.
