Designed for high-shock and -vibration environments, a new high-speed video camera from Photron Inc. is suited for applications ranging from automotive safety and military testing to scientific and industrial imaging.
The Fastcam Mini WX100 provides 2048 × 2048-pixel resolution to more than 1000 fps, 1080 HD pixel resolution to 2000 fps and higher frame rates up to 80,000 fps at reduced resolution.
It features a 12-bit sensor that provides excellent image quality and color fidelity. The superior light sensitivity is measured to the ISO 12232 Ssat standard, with an ISO of 6400 in monochrome and 2000 in color.
The camera has standard F and C lens mounts. Memory options of 4, 8 and 16 GB are available, and PC interface is via Gigabit Ethernet.
