The AD9751, 9753 and 9755 low-power digital-to-analog converters for high-speed broadband communications applications are available from Analog Devices Inc. These 10, 12- and 14-bit converters are manufactured on a 0.35-µm CMOS process to reduce chip power consumption. They synthesize input signal bandwidths up to 100 MHz and produce 300 megasamples per second with a noise floor of -150 dBm/Hz, while maintaining >65 dB spurious-free dynamic range. Applications include broadband and digitally linearized power amplifier transmitters, cable television and digital broadband infrastructures, and signal synthesis subsystems.
