The lightguides utilize an LED with three chips that combine red, green and/or blue in various levels of saturation to yield colors such as amber, violet or white. MicroLens technology enables the use of fewer LEDs and smaller displays, and the ability to light a larger area with one LED. These devices are suitable for use in medical instruments, test and measurement instrumentation, cellular phones and other portable devices.
