The Model 2A from Ophir Optronics Inc. is an ultrasensitive thermal detector that can measure from 50 µW to 2 W of average power and from tens of microjoules to 2 J of single- pulse energy. It has a flat spectral response from 0.19 to 12 µm. The removable light tube can be used with interchangeable filters or quartz windows to minimize thermal background. The Model 2A can be integrated with the Nova, AN-2 and LaserStar electronic displays. Applications include measurement of low-power diode lasers and LEDs.
