NAC Image Technology's Hi-Dcam II digital video camera system has a CMOS sensor that provides images with up to 1280 x 1024 pixels in color or monochrome at 500 pictures per second. Capable of recording speeds of >8000 pictures per second, the camera has a compact, remote head that fits into confined spaces. It can be used as a PCI-based computer peripheral, offering onboard memory, camera control boards and user interface software and documentation. Shutter speeds can be independently varied to eliminate blur or to allow low-light recording. Users can start and stop recording remotely via a handheld switch, a direct signal or an external trigger. The images can be reviewed and downloaded to a PC for analysis, archiving and storage. A single PC can operate multiple Hi-Dcam II cameras for recording multiple views of one event.
