Dymax Corp. says its new Accu-Cal 30 radiometer uses a new type of sensor that can withstand high-power UV radiation and extreme temperatures to deliver accurate intensity readings up to 10 W/cm2 for light-curing systems. The handheld device displays readings in both joules and millwatts per square centimeter. It requires calibration once a year and has PTB and NIST traceability. The operating life is approximately 100 h from one 9-V battery.
