Imaging Boards Matrox Imaging's new high-performance imaging boards for PCI-X provide solutions for data-intense applications. All Matrox Odyssey vision processors and Matrox Helios frame grabbers feature the Matrox Oasis custom ASIC, which combines a high-bandwidth router with a powerful parallel processing core that greatly accelerates image processing operations.

The Odyssey family includes the Motorola G4 PowerPC, providing completely dedicated processing. The Odyssey Xpro features a linearly scalable architecture; simply add more boards to tackle the most demanding applications. Both the Odyssey and Helios families are available with multichannel high-frequency and high-fidelity analog video capture or a high-performance and complete Camera Link interface.

Odyssey vision processors and Helios frame grabbers are supported by the field-proven Matrox Imaging Library (MIL); the algorithms can run completely on Odyssey vision processors and are significantly accelerated by the Helios. Matrox Odyssey also can be programmed with the Odyssey Native Library (ONL), for compatibility with the previous generation of vision processor boards.
