Boyd Corp.Lytron Inc. has improved the temperature stability of its Kodiak recirculating chillers to a typical ±0.05 °C. The temperature stabilization time also was reduced fivefold, and the response to a setpoint change is now immediate. The company made these improvements via changes to its proprietary PID controller software. The pressure units can be set independent of the temperature units.
