The LSX-500 laser ablation system is designed for direct analysis of solid samples using ICP-AES and ICP-MS. This 266-nm system from Cetac Technologies can ablate high-purity fused silica, calcite and fluorite with minimal elemental fractionation. It incorporates a high-density, internally homogenized beam that produces uniform energy density across all spot sizes. The company says the system offers an improved viewing system with a wide field of view and improved magnification. The LSX-500 includes the DigiLaz II software control system, which offers sample mapping and image processing, and on-screen drawing methods.
