High-Performance TE ControllersILX Lightwave introduces the LDT-5900 Series precision temperature controllers for laser diodes and photonic devices in both low- and high-power applications. These two new instruments incorporate full PID closed-loop control with digital PWM TE current control, ensuring precise, efficient temperature control over wide ranges.

The LDT-5900 Series supports thermistor, IC and platinum RTD sensors, which can be selected and configured from the front panel or via a standard GPIB interface. Use the LDT-5948 60-W model for internal TE control and the LDT-5980 120-W high-power TE controller for external control in LIV test applications where multiple test temperatures are required. Four-wire voltage sense and independent heating/cooling TE current limits optimize characterization and protection of TE modules during development, test or assembly.

Features like autotune, input/output triggers and full GPIB control allow hands-free operation. Whether the application calls for temperature control of laser diodes or other fiber optic components, the LDT-5900 Series provides precision temperature control and flexibility.
