Zero-order crystalline quartz retardation plates with wavelengths for first, second, third and fourth Nd:YAG harmonics are available from Standa Ltd. The company says that the plates feature antireflection coating, with reflection of <0.3 percent at each surface, a surface finish of 20/10 scratch/ dig, a clear aperture of 20 mm, retardation tolerance of λ/200 at 20 °C, wavefront distortion of λ/10, wedge of 2 in. and mount diameter of 25 + 0/0.5 mm.

GLOSSARY
antireflection coating
A thin layer of material applied to a lens surface to reduce the amount of reflected energy. Ideally the index of refraction of that material should be equal to the square root of the product of the indices of the material on either side of the coating, while the ideal thickness for a single-layer coating is one-quarter of the wavelength at which reflectance is to be minimized.
