Meller Optics Inc. is providing a variety of custom-fabricated sapphire optics, including front-surface lenses and domes, carrier discs, UV cell windows, and lenses for Er:YAG and ruby laser systems. These optics have Mohs 9 surface hardness and are resistant to most chemicals, sand, water and other particles moving at high speeds. They transmit from the UV to the IR with up to 85% transmission when uncoated, and up to 99% transmission when antireflection-coated on two sides.
