NP Photonics A combined light source and interrogator for integration into fiber optics-based temperature-, strain- and pressure-sensing systems is available from NP Photonics. The optical spectrum analyzer (OSA) engine and amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) source come on a PCI card or as a self-contained unit. For handheld instruments, they are available as an OEM module. The company says the devices provide cost savings and design benefits, such as integrated packaging, shared control electronics, convenient interface to intelligent data analysis and compact size.
