A compact vision system that allows users to acquire images with multiple cameras via three FireWire ports is available from National Instruments. The CVS-1454 is an embedded machine vision system designed for use with the company's LabView or Vision Builder for Automated Inspection software for rugged industrial applications. Users can choose the resolution and speed of their cameras to match application requirements. The system features an operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C and has no fans or external vents. It has a built-in LabView real-time engine and 128 MB of memory.
