Southampton Photonics Inc. has initiated its redPower fiber laser series with the launch of CW products to 30 W, short-pulsed units with peak powers from 25 kW and energies greater than 1 mJ, and a 100-W modulatable CW device. The series was conceived to provide high single-mode beam quality in a scalable, building-block structure for applications in the industrial, analytical and aerospace markets. The company says that the devices' GTWave fiber technology provides efficient, high-absorption cladding pumping.
