Progressive-Scan Camera Unveiled by New Electronic Technology Vertriebsgesellschaft mbH, the CSB 4000F is an ultrahigh-resolution progressive-scan camera with a 12.2 × 12.2-mm, 4-megapixel CMOS sensor that has 2008 × 2047 square pixels, each measuring 6.0 × 6.0 µm. A digital IEEE-1394 interface controls the camera and transfers data at 400 Mb/s. The camera measures 54 × 43 × 95 mm, weighs ~220 g and supports both a standard and a random trigger shutter. An external asynchronous trigger signal controls the start point and exposure time in random mode. In window-of-interest mode, up to 16 arbitrary areas can be read out. At full resolution, the readout rate is 7.29 fps, and 83 fps with VGA resolution is achievable. Applications include machine vision and factory automation.
