Available from Exalos AG is a family of superluminescent LEDs for use in applications such as telecommunications, optical coherence tomography, medical imaging, test equipment, structural sensors and gyroscopes. The EXS8001 model produces 0.2 mW of optical output with a 37-nm FWHM bandwidth. Spectral ripple is 0.05, and operating current is 80 mA. The EXS8005 outputs 1.0 mW with a 31-nm FWHM bandwidth, spectral ripple of 0.10 and operating current of 100 mA. The EXS8010 outputs 3.0 mW with 22-nm FWHM bandwidth, spectral ripple of 0.10 dB and operating current of 120 mA. The central wavelengths for all versions are between 780 and 820 nm.
