The laser bars are mounted within water-cooled copper blocks that act as a heat sink and as electrodes. The company says that the approach reduces thermal and mechanical stress in the emitters, enabling peak powers of up to 120 W in 20-ms quasi-CW mode and offering higher focusability than soldered bars.
