For electro-optical testing and measurement of forward-looking infrared devices and focal-plane-array-based systems, CI Systems Inc. has unveiled the ControlMaster SR-800 extended-area blackbody that delivers millikelvin-level accuracy. A removable temperature sensor enables recalibration without downtime or additional equipment. Features include radiation heads that are independent of the controller; built-in minimum resolvable temperature difference plotting; a large, color LCD; a touch-panel user interface; and control over a local area network. Operating temperature ranges from –40 to 600 °C.
