IDMax from Cognex Corp. is Data Matrix code-reading software based upon proprietary, patented PatMax technology and designed for direct part mark identification. Parts are directly marked with permanent 2-D data matrix codes, which are read throughout production to ensure that the appropriate manufacturing processes are performed, in the correct sequence and on the right parts. The software, which creates a history of a part, is available on the company's In-Sight 5100, 5400 and 3400 vision sensors.
